Jessica McCluney has been closely involved in fisheries and seafood for the past 15 years from serving as a federal observer aboard Alaskan fishing vessels to
publishing research on the socioeconomic sustainability of global tuna fisheries, to corporate sustainability and procurement at two large North American seafood companies, to starting and
running her own business sourcing and supplying local households with sustainable seafood from 2018-2020. Jessica remains an independent contractor in the corporate seafood sustainability landscape with both the private sector and NGOs, as well as public universities such as the University of Washington.
Jessica has worked onsite with harvesters, processors, fishery managers, aquaculture producers, public relations & branding firms, and research institutions across 6 continents in her career span. She is currently a member on the board of
This Fish, a Canadian seafood software company.
